    Genesis Life Coaching Institute certification and development courses are some of the most affordable life coaching classes in the industry. While other life coaching courses charge $3,000-$9,000 for their training, GLCI continues to offer quality, affordable education for less than half the cost. GLCI is designed to bring the elite industry of life coaching to everyday community and business leaders at an affordable price.

  4. When would I have time to take a class?
    Our courses and programs are generally in the evenings to cater to working professionals. Our certification courses are held seasonally, spring and fall, weekdays from 6-9pm.

  5. What is the difference between Genesis Life Coaching Institute and other schools?
    GLCI differs from other life coaching institutes in that its mission and cause are dedicated to community and individual empowerment with an emphasis on women, youth, business, and leadership training. Our target audience is everyday professionals who would like to break into the coaching, speaking, publishing, and training INDUSTRIES.

  6. What about accreditation?
    Graduates of our life coaching course become Genesis International Certified Coaches. Genesis Life Coaching Institute abides by the code of ethics of the International Coach Federation (ICF). Company Founder Coach Amleset Kidane is also a member of the ICF.

  7. Who can I help with my certification?
    Your certification gives you the training and business skills to begin your own personal coaching practice that will allow you to coach clients one-on-one, conduct group coaching, and conduct coaching seminars for clients, co-workers, family, and yourself.

  8. How much money can I make if I start my coaching practice?
    Income in the life coaching industry depends on how one sets up their coaching practice but most incomes range from $2,000-$20,000 a month.

  9. Is Genesis Life Coaching Institute diverse?
    GLCI strongly promotes diversity across all races, ethnicities, sexes, and classes in its programs and courses. Qualified individuals are passionate, ambitious, talented, and focused on a larger vision for themselves and their community.

  10. What if I need a payment plan?
    Our Institute has one of the most flexible payment plans available among life coaching schools. Individuals place their registration deposit first and are assisted in making a customized payment plan. Payment plans range from 3-6 months.

  11. How much do I have to pay up-front for a course?
    Institute certification courses range from $1,500 - $2,500, depending on whether an individual qualifies for financial aid. All non-certification courses and programs range from $50 - $500.

  12. What if I cannot come to a live class?
    For those that cannot join us, GLCI offers a teleconferenced course. Individuals who are interested must call for more information from our Washington, DC campus office and can apply online.

  13. What is the difference between certification and non-certification GLCI courses?
    We offer life coaching certification training for those who desire to become life coaches. We also offer non-certification self-development courses that help individuals stretch, grow, and go to their next level professionally and personally.

Personal Coaching
  1. How do I know I need or want a coach?
    You can call for a consultation to find out if personal coaching is right for you.

  2. What if I need personal coaching, how do I get started?
    All you have to do is call for a free consultation and we will walk you through the simple steps to get started.

  3. Is personal coaching affordable?
    There are a variety of service plans available to suit your financial needs. You are advised to be prepared to invest in your coaching services to help keep the price affordable. Costs range from 75.00-250.00 per month depending on the service.

  4. Is having a life coach the same as having a therapist?
    No. Life coaches are not therapists. They are not trained for clinical or mental diagnosis of clients. Life coaching is designed to help everyday people achieve their purpose and goals with a forward thinking strategic plan.

  5. Do you accept insurance?
    No, most insurance companies do not cover life coaching services. Life coaching is a fairly new industry that many insurance companies have not taken into account for coverage.

  6. Can I be declined personal coaching?
    Yes. Coaching is a very personal service in which the client and coach must have a connection. If the coach or client does not feel a strong connection, the coach can recommend another coach for the client.

  7. Do I have a choice of coaches at GLCI?
    Yes, we have several coaches who specialize in various areas of the coaching industry. You can request a coach or be a assigned your coach.

  8. How long is coaching?
    Coaching can last from 4 months to 2 years depending on the goals and needs of each client. Personal coaching requires a minimum of 4 months to get started. The coach and client will need that time to achieve the basic goals of the client.

  9. How will I benefit?
    Personal coaching is one of the most powerful experiences that you can have. Many clients before you have made life changes through personal coaching in various areas of their lives, including health, finance, relationships, and career.

  10. What if I know a teen or young adult that needs coaching?
    We have trained life coaches for adults as well as youth. Youth coaching is one of the primary focuses of our firm. We believe our youth shape our communities and thus have made youth coaches available to any teen or young adult that needs one.

  11. How can I enroll a teen or young adult to Genesis services?
    It's easy, just call for a consultation about your teen or young adult (ages 10-23). Your coach will discuss all that you will need to know to get your youth started. We also have teen events, group coaching, retreats, and boot-camps available for your youth.

Co-Coaching Program
  1. What is Co-Coaching?
    Co-Coaching is a program set up for graduates of GLCI who would like to start their coaching practice in a sub-contractual relationship with our firm.

  2. Why would I want to partner my coaching business with Genesis International Consulting Firm, LLC?
    For many new coaches, beginning a practice can be expensive, time-consuming, and overwhelming without the structure, support, and funds needed to make their business a success. It also allows you to use our firm as a platform for your coaching and business vision. Our firm allows coaches who have sub-contracted their business to co-brand and profit share with us.

Marketing and Management Division
  1. What are the benefits of choosing GICF to market and manage my coaching and speaking career?
    Some graduates of our program are privately selected to be marketed and managed by GICF. Our marketing and management division is in partnership with business and marketing senior experts. Current and former clients include Dr. Lonise Bias, Michel Germain parfum, Dr. Fredrick Douglas Clark, and more.

Employment/Involvement

    Contractual positions, fellowships, and internships are available. To be considered, contact a GICF representative.
